Take Two

I can't believe it's been almost a year since my first post! I remember how excited I was... and then nothing.

Let's try this again.

It has been 11 months and counting, and it pains my heart, but Haiti is still where we 'left' her, in desperation or dare I say an even worse predicament than that? Now, there's a cholera outbreak epidemic. As if their problems were not enough, with the scarcity of everything under the sun; Shelter, Food, Clean water, Clothing, Medicine, Education... I could go on.

This image has stayed with me, there's just something about it...

Haiti, sometimes I get a one min flash of you on the news, yes, i've timed it, before they move on to more important topics like details of celebrities and their cheating spouses or long segments on how you can save big on Black Friday! Have we forgotten about you?

What about me? When was the last time I donated? 3 months? 6 months ago?! I've spent so much money on things that I don't need or even necessarily want, if I had donated at least half of that... I mean, I always pray for you Haiti, but I could back it up with actions like continuing to create awareness and donating myself. I can definitely do better.
